If you are on the fence about joining us, we wanted to share with you why some of us joined derby. So we asked our skaters, both veterans, and new skaters: what made you join, and what is your favorite part of derby?

What made you join roller derby?
It was the first sport that actually excited me when i was a kid. Once i found out there was a juniors league in Indy i was all in.
What is your favorite part about derby?
It’s hard to pick one thing, but probably the adrenaline rush, feeling strong, and the community!
How long have you been with Cornfed?
With Cornfed since 2017, but playing derby since 2010/2011.
