The Cornfed Derby Dames are back on the rink and gearing up for season 4. This is sure to be a great season. Many of CFDD’s season three vets are returning to the track and joining them are some amazing Freshmeat. Not only does the line-up of skaters make for a great season, but this will be CFDD’s first season as full Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) members, allowing CFDD to compete in WFTDA tournaments and sanctioned bouts that could boost CFDD into the WFTDA’s rankings.
CFDD is not only growing their roster, they are also growing their officiating staff as well. So, be on the look out for new zebras and non-skating officials as well.
While the season schedule has not been set in stone at this time, it looks like season four is shaping up to have some hard-hitting bouts. CFDD will be competing this season with some teams they have not had to opportunity to play until now. So make sure you like the Cornfed Derby Dames on facebook and keep checking in on our webpage at www.cornfeddd.com for up and coming bouts, ticket information, events and other useful information from the team.
The Cornfed Derby Dames will also be holding a few Saturday morning scrimmages with other teams that will be open to the public. CFDD ask that those that attend donate $5 at the door and to please bring their own lawn chair/seat. These scrimmages will be posted as an event on the Cornfed Derby Dames’ Facebook Page.
