Walk A Mile Fundraiser

Last year CFDD participated in Muncie Mission’s Walk-A-Mile in My Shoes fundraiser.

“The purpose of the Walk is to take a step into the struggles facing the homeless and those in desperate situations. It also serves to extend the purpose of the Muncie Mission, which is to provide compassionate rescue services on an immediate and/or long-term basis to the poor and needy of East Central Indiana.”

AND we’re doing it again this year. If you’re interested in giving, find a Dame and either make her do push-ups or laps to raise some funds or let her off easy and just donate a set amount. All donations will be collected by Monday, February 6th.

We were able to raise $140 for the Mission last year and we hope to be able to give far beyond that this year!

Consider the impact your donation will have to the homeless in our community. A donation of $10 will provide 2 meals at the mission, but a donation for $25 will provide 10 meals for homeless men (and/or women and children through our Family Services department); $50, 22 meals.  Twenty walkers collecting $50 each would provide 439 meals.

If you have any questions feel free to email us at info@farmhousenow.tk. Then come cheer us on or walk along side us on February 11, 2012 for the big event.

Thanks for your support!
