Bout Recap: CFDD vs Gem City

It was cool fall day in Muncie when they descended on Gibson’s Arena. No one knows how they got there or what caused their ghastly pale skin, but one thing was clear: they were there to play.

The Cornfed Derby Dames took on the Gem City Rollergirls (Dayton, OH) in their last bout of the season. Both teams played a hard hitting, smart game, no one giving up until the final jam ended. Cornfed struggled to hold back Gem’s quick jammers, but responded with their own fast jamming and defensive walls. While Gem City gained a large lead in the first half, Cornfed held a strong defense and continued to close the gap after halftime. However, even with a last jam rally from OCDiva, Gem City pulled out a win with a score of 139-68.
