Walk (or ROLL) A Mile In My Shoes

Help support the Muncie Mission!

The Cornfed Derby Dames will be helping to raise money and awareness for the Muncie Mission during their annual Walk-A-Mile event. Secretly, the Dames are calling it Roll-A-Mile, and we need your support!

On Saturday, February 5 you have the opportunity to raise money for Walk (or in our case Roll)-A-Mile by giving money for each lap we skate on that Saturday practice during our warm-ups.

To give you an idea: 12 laps around the outer-rim of the rink = 1 mile. We’ve been known to do three miles or 36 laps at a Saturday practice. Think we can do more? Put your money down on the rink for the Muncie Mission and we’ll work even harder! For example, if you donate $36 we will skate 36 laps! If you donate $50 we will skate 50 laps! We’ll get a great workout and you’ll feel great that you helped a great cause!

Then come and encourage us as we walk (or roll if weather permits) the mile stretch from the Fieldhouse to the Mission on Saturday, February 12 @ 9 a.m.

The purpose of the Walk is to take a step into the struggles facing the homeless.  It also serves to extend the purpose of the Muncie Mission, which is to provide compassionate rescue services on an immediate and/or long-term basis to the poor and needy of East Central Indiana
